BRC Global Standard Food has been developed by the Retailers Association of United Kingdom (BRC) that gathers most of the british retailers companies and created in 1998 to help British retailers with own labels to guarantee full performance of legal requirements and assure the highest level of protection of their clients and consumers.

The norm establishes 18 different product categories, having 326 requirements and 10 fundamental ones. According to non conformities the company obtains A, B or C level. Audit periodicity depends on the certificate level obtained. BRC certificate allows you to give transparence and quality to your production process, decreasing main food hazards and allowing you to obtain a better trust from clients and international recognition.
